This is a five week course to introduce you to dressmaking skills, from laying of the pattern, cutting and assembling your garment. A basic knowledge of using a sewing machine would be of benefit. You will learn how to measure and fit your garment, and also finishes touches, zips and button holes. This course will start on Wednesday, 15th June 2016, 6:30-8:00pm and is open to adults who are just starting with this creative craft. The classes are held in the Portsmouth Academy for Girls. You would be required to bring with you a commercial pattern (easy to intermediate ability) fabric and cotton of your choice and pins.
